The chords for this track came from watching Seu Jorge play his versions of David Bowie songs for the Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou film. I was living in Rome and had started my Wes Anderson addiction.

I had the two parts in different keys, and after playing them separately for weeks, I realised that I could change the key, play them one after the other and get that cool tempo change in the middle.

I had two gigs booked in Ireland in December 2017 and I felt that I should have a single to release around the same time, so I got my act together and recorded and mixed this pretty quickly. I still feel it's one of my best songs.
